Greetings All,
I'm sorry, I didn't take any pictures before I dropped my 1026R at the dealer for repair. I hope to alert everyone to a big problem I'm having with my MMM. My 1026R has 181 hours on it. Most of that time is with the MMM cutting two acres of grass. I noticed a rattle coming from under the center of the tractor on top of the MMM deck. On closer examination, I discovered the quick attachment assembly, which is part of the tractor, has EXTREME wear on the mounting bar AND the metal arms that are on either side of the drive shaft, have ovaled out, to the point of just about failure. The bar that connects to the rear of the mower deck, is also worn a THIRD of the way through! I don't know what has caused this to occure. I urge everyone with a belly mower to inspect their quick connect assembly for this major problem. Hopefully, it was an improper dealer setup that has resulted in this excessive ware. I think I was one of the first for my dealer to set up a 1026R and 60" MMM. My 1026R has been an excellent tractor. The MMM has performed excellent up to this point. However, this design should not require such a major repair with only 181 hours on it. I'll let everyone know what the dealer says once they get it repaired. In the meantime, you should check your connecting system for like damage. Lucky for me, I discovered this while my tractor is still under warranty.
