John Deere 4020 electrical issue...

I was brush hogging the other day and the Deere quit on me. I had been at it for about an hour and had to hop off real quick so i killed the pto, took the throttle to idle and about 10sec later it died. A little smoke was coming from the dash like something overheated... Now there is no power at all. Nothing even lights up on the dash. We tried to fire it up from the starter and bypass the ignition and it would crank, but never fire up... We have ruled out batteries, and I pulled the ignition off our other 4020 and tried it but that didn't help. I am assuming it's something electrical, and I assume whatever it is, it's affecting the fuel injectors since we couldn't get it running form the starter? I'm kinda out of ideas as I have no clue what electrical components besides the ignition could have gone down...
