This is my second post and question for the day. I'm currently looking at a used 2013 647 tiller for $1700. Called my dealer and he wants $2450 for a new 647 or 2150 for a new frontier rt 1149. What to do? Is the 647 worth the extra coin if I bought new. Looks like some say the 1149 is the same tiller maybe even a touch better. Thanks so much for all your help today everyone.

Well I am taking the tractor in on Saturday and dropping it off with dealer to see if they will fix the loader control rust issue I posted about previously. They were pretty sure Deere would just replace the part under warranty when I showed them the pictures. Being proactive the new service guy asked if there was any other warranty work needing to be done.
So it got me to thinking. What else should they look at while it is in? This is a 2014 JD 1025r.
I've already fixed the Rockshaft Lever drop problem (took it apart and put in new washers).
Haven't noticed any issues with the hydraulic hoses rubbing on the tire.
So anything else that I might be missing?

Had this problem last year dealer checked it out,and found nothing.what would cause this thing to crank for 10 seconds on cold starts.and then it spits and spudders most of the time some back firing for the first five seconds and then it's runs fine.would the fuel pump leaking back cause this.if I use the tractor with in 24 hours of a cold start,it starts right up and runs fine no back firing or anything.could some x700 owners chime in on there cold winter starts.

It was IrfanView and yes I did save them. But it just occurred to me that I did not reset the Exif data. That is where rotation is saved. Oops.
What would it take to update the site again so it properly reads the Exif?

I know a lot of folks here like the WeatherTech floor mats and recommend them highly. Up until just this month, I was in that same boat. Not any more.
As a bit of background, the other half totalled her car back in October and bought a new Infinity Q50 as a replacement. We get snow/slush/muck in the winter so I wanted to order a nice set of floormats for her as a Christmas present. I've bought Weathertech products in the past and never had any issues. But the Q50 is kind of an "odd duck" and none of the usually places carried custom fit mats for it locally. So, just like their ads suggest, I went to their WWW site and ordered custom fits mats for her car.
Placed an order on Dec 7th, 2015 for front and rear floor mats in black. Got an email confirming the order within an hour. Their WWW site showed order "In-Progress". The note on their site says "In-Progress" means 3-7 business days to manufacture and prepare for shipping plus 3-4 days shipping time. Plenty of time to arrive for Christmas.
Heard NOTHING from them and finally called on Thursday, Dec 24th to inquire on status. Was told that they had tried to process my credit card multiple times but it wouldn't go through. They never once called or sent an email indicating there was any problem. WWW site still showed the order was "In-Progress". There was never any indication that they even tried to charge my card and there should have been no problems with them doing so. Gave them a different credit card number and was told they would take it to the finance people and call me back.
The charge posted to my credit card on Monday, Dec 28th. No call back from Customer Service. No email, no status change on the WWW site. No contact from Weathertech at all.
Received an email from FedEx that "something" was shipped to me on Dec 29th. Weathertech WWW site still showed the order "In-Progress".
Fedex delivered package the morning of Dec 31st. Front mats were wrong color. The rear mats are black but the included front mats are grey. The label that is on them doesn't match the order. Checked Weathertech WWW site and it still shows the order "In-Progress".
Called Customer Service again and after 30 minutes on hold was told (by "Steve") they would ship the correct front floor mats out today (31st) for delivery next week. We'll see how that pans out.
After talking to them I did a web search on them and holy jeebers! There are a LOT of complaints about this same sort of thing. I guess I learned my lesson. I didn't search before-hand because I'd never had issues before and everyone seems to recommend them but it looks like their customer service is going down the tubes.

Hi I have a John Deere 1025r tractor with a 51in snowblower,I find if I set the RPM'S to 3200 and engage the rear
pto switch that it breaks the shear bolts at the front part of the driveshaft where it attaches to the rear
pto shaft.Should I be engaging the
pto switch at a lower rpm ?

I started noticing that the tilt control from the stick is getting stiff. Going up/down is fine, it's the tilt(side to side with the control stick)is getting sticky.
Is there an adjustment that I can do myself? Something to look for?

I have a set of duo combination v bar tire chains for tire size 26x12x12 which is the rear of my 1025r, these chains I bought from tirechains.com for $285 last year and they are just to heavy for me to deal with on this tractor.
If you have a back hoe on or the brackets you must have 1 1/2" wheel spacer or these chains wont work for you. These are 3/8" chain that weight about 50# each I have literally only went about 100 feet with these chains on. So they are technically "used" but I have never put them to work other than climbing a snowy hill outside by barn.
Looking to sell at $150 + actual shipping. I think I can use two usps priority mail boxes for about 35 but that is a guess on shipping. If you feel 150 is too high, I open to best offer, Im not looking to get rich but rather be fair to buyer and myself. If possible pick up is always an option I live in Kalamazoo,Mi.

This is just a little sticky I want to make for anyone rebuilding their deck. The idler pulley has a ball bearing inside. Problem is the bearing is built-in and cannot be removed normally.
You can however drill out the rivets and use hex nuts, bolts and cut washers. The ball bearing is a 6203-2RS-40.
List
1. 8 1/4" x 1/2" hex bolts
2. 8 1/4" hex nuts
3. 16 1/4" cut washers.
4. 6203-2RS-40 ball bearing.
5. 1/4" drill bit

Im sure this topic has come up before... I also did some searching and not able to come up with much information.. I have a 1025r interested in a Box Blade and a York Rake. Interested in the Frontier brand but want heavy duty. Also I'm not sure about the box blade width?? I want it wider than my tractor but also don't want to sacrafice the performance. My dealer is ordering me BB2060 Box Blade, and LR2060L Rake with wheels. Any help or comment is appreciated.

At DieselShadow's request, I am starting the Home made Generator thread. This was built in 1999 for a different tractor. It was built for a CAT 0 New Holland GT 75 diesel. Rear
PTO was 2000 RPM. I have a few pics to show of this right now. I am looking for the drawings I made for the parts, which will be wrong for a 1025R. Eventually I am going to re-do this for the Cat 1 540
PTO, but for now will run it off the front
PTO. Not ideal, but what I have now.
