New to me. First post! My "big green turd"....purchased out of state, seller (dealer in TX) assured me it was a good runner...which it probably is.....with less than 500 hours on the clock. That is where truth stopped. I'm sure the hour meter failed at that point......but another 6-7000 hours were run.....but, no way to prove it.....ugh unless you look at things like wear on the TPH ball joints, can't read a single decal (shift pattern), slop in the steering linkage, and generally sad state of the TPH hydraulics... Like I said, my big green pile at this point.
So, how/where to I look to get the hour meter looked at or check it myself? Handy with tools and a volt meter...... Do not yet have a shop manual in my mitts....and I am a proponent of having original service manuals! Any good recommendations on a service book would be great!!! One #JD-47???? How does it stack up?
Temp light: Should come on with ignition key. Will check to see if there is a bulb malfunction here......will need to track down temp sender unit also!
Have a hydraulic issue with the three point, but going to start a separate thread.
I hope I am in the correct forum with the 950. Seems to be an odd number.......from those posted.
Cheers!
Steve
