I finally decided to put disconnects on the cylinders of my plow over the summer. I got tired of getting fluid everywhere when I took the plow off for the season. I have to take it off in pieces as it's a JD 380A off a Kubota modded to fit my 2520. With this impending snow storm,I figured I better chain up the tractor and get the plow on. My neighbor with his ATV has done the snow all winter so far. Not sure how well it would do with "maybe" 12+ inches of snow,so I wanted to be ready just in case.
Anyway, the main reason for this post. I thought I had something backward, because it wouldn't go down or angle either direction. Only way I could get it to go down was shut the tractor off and put the joystick in float and it very slowly dropped. I knew I didn't have any hoses wrong because they were permanently marked which one went where. I didn't even want to think about putting it back the way it was,but that's what I did and everything is fine once again.:unknown:
I'm assuming I got bad parts. Not sure how I would go about checking them. Of course they were made over in that far off country that's known for it's impecable QC.
These are the ones I got.
