I'm having a bit of a strange problem with my JD 1050. The first time I crank her up each day she starts fine, no problem. However, after several hours of use, if I turn it off to take a break or something, it almost never starts back. Several times I have been able to tap the starter and get it cranked. Other times, waiting several hours will work also. However, yesterday, I stopped working and turned off the tractor to make a phone call. After the call I went to hop back on and she would not start. The first time or two that I try I can hear a clicking coming from the starter. After about the second time, nothing. I tapped the starter and then can get the click again. But it won't start the engine. I wont get another chance to try it until later this afternoon after work. There is some other work that needs to be done such as with the brakes and clutch. I'm getting to the point where I am thinking of just calling the dealer and having them come pick it up and give it a full service. Any thoughts before I try that? Thanks!
