Guys,
I installed a 3rd SCV kit on my 1026R yesterday. Total install time was 3.5 hours. The kit weighs about 25 lbs and contains: 1 Selective Control Valve, 4 hydraulic lines, 2 female Quick Disconnects, numerous bolts and small parts as well as 6 pages of instructions.
Prepping the tractor for installation includes removing the right rear wheel, the seat and the panel in front of the seat. The instructions said the right fender was removed (in the picture) to show the hydraulic line routing. However, I found it necessary to actually remove the right fender in order to complete the installation of the final hydraulic line.
The instructions are quite clear as long as you pay very close attention to the included pictures. I made the mistake of bolting the Quick Disconnects plate to the rear side of the ROPS instead of the front side of the ROPS. I quickly found that the hydraulic lines didn't reach their intended location and then discovered my error. The instructions are pretty vague about where the copper flat washers go. One goes on each side of the hydraulic line ring and form a seal between the ring and the banjo nut and the ring and the valve housing.
The SCV valve is mounted to the right of the seat and just ahead of the ROPS. You'll see 2 mounting holes in your ROPS just below the tool box. The Quick Disconnects are mounted directly below at the bottom of the right ROPS. You'll see 2 mounting holes at the bottom of your ROPS .
No drilling, cutting or welding was required. Everything fit well. The 4 hydraulic lines pass within a 1/4" of each other but don't touch. The only surprise was the need to remove the right fender - something that was not stated in the instructions. The Power Beyond hydraulic line is included in the kit. Anyone with a basic knowledge of hydraulics and a good understanding of mechanics could do this installation himself. The kit price is $660.
